The company has a fleet of facilities lead by our mid-merit plants. Mid-merit plants are high technology, environmentally friendly, fuel-flexible, fast-starting units that are able to start up and shut down quickly in response to changes in demand for power. These facilities have the capability for quick and repeated cycling, as well as for continuous service.
Among the cleanest running power plants in the world, mid-merit plants use
combustion turbine/combined cycle technology to utilize environmentally clean
fuel and recover waste heat to produce even more electricity without the need to
consume any additional fuel.
