ABOUT THE COMPANY:
Who is PHI?
PHI stands for Pepco Holdings, Inc. PHI is an energy holding company formed as a result of the merger between Pepco and Conectiv. The company delivers combined about 50,000 gigawatt-hours of power annually to more than 1.8 million customers in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia, making it one of the largest electricity delivery companies in the mid-Atlantic region. PHI engages in regulated utility operations by delivering electricity and natural gas, and provides competitive energy products and services to residential and commercial customers.

How long has PHI been around?
PHI was formed as a result of the merger in August 1, 2002 between century old Pepco and Conectiv. Conectiv has recently returned to the historical names of Delmarva Power and Atlantic City Electric.
Who are PHI's customers?
Our 1.8 million customers are both residential and commercial, and they are located in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey and Virginia.

How can I find out about open positions at PHI?
You may search the open job listings on the PHI Careers website.
How do I apply for a position at PHI?
You may apply online.
What happens once my resume is submitted?
Once your resume is received, it is reviewed by our off-site Staffing Center to determine if you appear to meet the requirements for the position. If additional information is needed, our Staffing Center will contact you to conduct a telephone screen. If you appear to meet the posting requirements, you will then be scheduled for tests (if applicable) and/or a structured interview.
Can I come to your office to complete an application?
No, applications are no longer given out to candidates. Anyone interested in applying for a position may do so online.
Can I create a resume online?
Yes. PHI has an online resume builder.
What if I don't have a computer or access to the Internet?
Candidates may visit their local library or Internet café to apply online. Candidates applying for positions at Pepco may visit the Edison Place location and use the PC's in their 1st floor staffing office.
What if I don't have access to email?
Many sites offer free email services. You can find out about free email services by conducting a search for "free email service" on your favorite search engine.
Will I receive a confirmation that my resume was received?
Yes. You will receive an e-mail confirmation within 24 hours of submitting your resume.
