Contracting With PHI
PHI's minority business program grew from those of our operating companies, particularly that of Pepco, which began in the 1970's. In 1987, Pepco established a Minority Business Development Department to identify and qualify diverse suppliers to meet its needs for goods and services. At PHI, the program is now known as Supplier Diversity. PHI companies are recognized leaders in the utilization of small, minority-owned and protected class businesses in all phases of operations.
Primary Objective
To maximize contracting opportunities and facilitate the growth and development of minority-owned and protected class businesses.
