PHI RECEIVES MINORITY “EMPLOYER OF CHOICE” AWARD
PHI’s Legal Department has been awarded the “Employer of Choice” award by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA). The award was presented in recognition of the department’s contributions to the furtherance of diversity in the legal profession.
The MCCA was founded in 1997 to advocate for the expanded hiring, retention, and promotion of minority attorneys in corporate law departments and the law firms that serve them.
“We are thrilled to receive this honor, and we think it is further recognition of PHI’s commitment to a diverse workplace,” said Kirk Emge, Senior Vice President & General Counsel.
The award comes in the wake of several recent recognitions PHI has received for its diversity efforts, including: the “Best of the Best” award from Olive Tree Publishing, which publishes a variety of diversity-oriented magazines; a “Diversity Elite” recognition from Hispanic Business magazine; being named by Black Enterprise magazine as one of the “40 Best Companies for Diversity; and a “Best Employers for Workers over 50” from the AARP.
