Pepco Holdings Inc. (NYSE: POM) has been recognized for the third straight year as one of the Top 60 Diversity Elite companies by Hispanic Business magazine, which publishes an annual list determined by more than 32 variables that measure companies’ commitments to Hispanic hiring, promotion, marketing, philanthropy and supplier diversity.
“This recognition is something all PHI employees can feel proud of, as it is through a collective PHI effort that we succeed in being recognized as among those best in class by the Hispanic Business magazine for exemplifying effective diversity in the workplace and business community,” said Joy J. Dorsey, the company’s director of diversity and supplier diversity.
Earlier this week, AARP named PHI to its national Top 50 list of Best Places to Work for people over 50.
Hispanic Business said companies named to this year’s Top 60 Elite list “went well beyond work force diversity initiatives and implemented strategies to reach more Hispanic consumers and increase their businesses with minority- and Hispanic-owned suppliers.”
